NRP Registration Form

The 7th Edition NRP Provider curriculum has been designed to teach and evaluate the evidence-based resuscitation skills of a newborn. The curriculum is divided into two parts. Part 1 consists of  online testing and case based simulations.  Part 2 is an instructor led teaching of Critical skills.   In the instructor led session, skills will be taught from preparing necessary equipment, airway, chest compression's, umbilical lines, medications, and special considerations. These skills will be evaluated during simulated deliveries followed by debriefings. The goal is for participants to develop optimal knowledge and resuscitation skills in accordance with current American Heart Association (AHA) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations.

  • Participants must complete the NRP exam online prior to coming to class.
  • Participants will be directed to a website to take this exam.
  • Prior to taking the exam, participants should read the comprehensive instructional textbook, the Neonatal Resuscitation Textbook 7th Edition (which can be purchased in Life Support Education for $65).

The online test is challenging, and preparation (reading the book) is important if you want to be successful.

Outside: $100 (Instructor led skills session)

**Outside students must purchase 7th edition NRP Provider Part 1, complete learning on AAP LMS, print certificate of completion, and bring certificate of completion to the instructor lead skills session. Detailed instructions will be given with registration confirmation.

Employee: No fee

**7th Edition NRP Provider course is free to employees as long as they complete both parts of the course.  If you sign up for the NRP course and receive course assignments and do not come to registered class date you will be required to pay $35 fee for the course.

Successful completion requires a passing score on the online written and eSim cases, as well as successful completion of the instructor lead skills performance in simulated neonatal resuscitation scenarios.
