Wake Forest Baptist Health ─ Davie Medical Center Offers Outpatient and Inpatient Pharmacy Services for the Davie Community

Those of you who have spent time at Davie Medical Center may be familiar with Bermuda Run Pharmacy, but did you know that the pharmacy is also available to anyone who needs a prescription, not just those who are being treated at the hospital? The staff at Bermuda Run Pharmacy pride themselves on providing a unique customer experience for patients who may be more familiar with retail pharmacies. Because the pharmacy is seamlessly incorporated into the patient-doctor relationship, people can expect a more personal and informed level of service. If you are considering choosing a pharmacy, it is important to know ahead of time what you need individually, but also what you can expect.

The Inpatient Pharmacy Experience

Bermuda Run Pharmacy’s unique location within Davie Medical Center ensures that accurate medications are dispensed to patients upon discharge from the hospital. Discharge Pharmacy Services are offered to all patients upon admission to Davie Medical Center. Medications are conveniently delivered to patient’s bedside to ensure all needed medications are in hand prior to leaving this hospital. Patients who have completed their stay at Davie Medical Center can benefit from continuing their relationship with pharmacy and medical staff who continue to work together to implement the most effective medication treatment. “After one of my surgeries, the staff from the pharmacy visited me in my room during my stay,” said Raymond Alberty, Davie County resident. “It made me feel at ease to know that the pharmacy is working in conjunction with the doctors, and the doctors and pharmacists know what’s going on in-house.”

The Outpatient Pharmacy Experience

The Bermuda Run Pharmacy is a full-service pharmacy, similar to retail pharmacies in the area.  Available to the public and located on the first floor of the medical center, in Plaza 1, it is open 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The pharmacy offers a full line of over-the-counter medications, along with a wide variety of services that are administered by trained medical staff. Some of those services include durable medical equipment fitting and dispensing, immunizations, medication therapy management, disease education, and anticoagulation clinic services. “I’ve always been able to get in and out quickly--never having to wait more than 10 minutes. Access to convenient, front row parking has certainly been a benefit, enabling me to avoid crowds and wait times,” said Davie County resident, Betty Hoots. Another convenience of Bermuda Run Pharmacy is the availability of electronic refill options. Administered by RefillRx, patients have access to a website or smart phone application that integrates with the on-site pharmacy allowing them to refill active prescriptions. Users can also correspond directly with pharmacy team members if they have any questions or concerns.

Exceptional Pharmacy Services in a Setting that Focuses on the Whole Patient

Bermuda Run Pharmacy offers a patient experience that consists of partnering closely with medical professionals to provide care in all settings — inpatient, outpatient, in clinics and at home upon discharge. From new prescriptions, to education, to refills, the pharmacy offers a high level of individualized care that is available to serve your pharmaceutical needs.
